Is the upgrade to 5.7.26 as big as the upgrade from 5.7.22 to 5.7.24 or 5.7.25?

Yes big and important. Have a lot of migrations.
Is there a way I can do the upgrade manually via SMS? I have problems with scripts timing out (well I did the last 2 times). Or could I take a backup, delete all my transactions, do the upgrade then restore from backup? I’m currently on 5.7.25
