I didnt say it cannot work. It certainly can. There is a reason most venues do not use wireless this includes large chains that have unlimited budget for systems. Sometimes it will work great… sometimes it wont. more often than not you will run into issues using wireless. If someone moves in next door and installs equipment that interferes with your wireless you will have to figure out a solution.
Scenarios like this is why I do not recommend wireless unless your using wireless devices for order taking etc. that is different.
It’s great to know that things go smoothly for you. Mine is not that perfect, distance from my terminal to router was only 3m, and the most annoying issue was it not drop always (ratio is about 1 per 100). I’m using TP-LINK as well.
Madiha I mean that error happens on OS level. When we query printer Windows says “Printer Name is Invalid”. I’m trying to give different ideas about the issue. As bar printer works fine and it happens for Kitchen printer I’ll suggest you to test it with a different printer or replace USB cable.
There are so many factors that can impact printing in windows. Permissions is a huge culpret at times. I’ve even seen windows firewall mess with shared printers although its rare and usually from someone messing with it and not knowing what they are doing.
RDP can impact it at times even more rare. USB connections can be the problem often a bad cable or port, typically its the cable. using USB 1.0 in 2.0 ports can cause printers to disappear or go offline.
i replaced the dot matrix printer with thermal printer then it showed the same error but the difference was that when printer get restarted the thermal printer would print the saved order in a queue. so the diagnosis was do reinstall the driver with system restart, change the usb cable and change the usb port.
till now its working and hoping no order will miss now
That sounds like a USB 2.0/1.0 or 3.0/1.0 conflict. Printer is probably USB1.0 Hopefully you got it worked out and it doesnt happen again. USB is great but they are not always 100% backwards compatible with older standards… USB 1.0 devices will work in USB 2.0 ports sometimes… sometimes they wont work well. Sometimes a USB 2.0 cable will work with USB 1.0 device… sometimes it wont. It can be rather annoying.
it havent work out yet i am still have to restart the printer to get the missed orders can you suggest me what to do i have try to renstall the printer driver but no use any other suggestion
