What is a Mobile Client Helper?

Greetings Friends,

I see a new downloadable on the sambapos page called:

Mobile Client Helper 1017

Any idea what this does?

It’s required for the mobile client. It allows you to refresh message server if you make changes in Sambapos like menu or users etc.

I cannot connect my mobile devices because Mobile Client wont start or restart without internet connection… why do i need internet connection to start Mobile Client Helper from server?

To check license probably. But I can’t be for sure.

I cant seem to install the helper, it just hangs on installation when its starting services and then says unsuccessful and closes. I have also tried to start the service manually but is just stops straight away. I am using the latest Sambapos and using sqlserver 2014
