Is anyone using the built in windows 10 virus protection software. If so do you have any issues with using it or did you create special exclusions for samba to run properly?
Why? Are you having issues?
I have Windows 10 on at least 2 of the machines at hotel including the ‘server machine’ without any special changes beyond the SQL firewall ports etc.
Is it running the latest windows 10 version with realtime protection enabled… It seems that if thats turned on it will try to block samba from accessing the Documents location because it now has a feature to protect from ransomeware. To get it work for me I had to add the samba.presentation.exe application to the exclusion list…
I have the latest version and it does not do that I also have the beta version on my test machine with latest fast track release and I’ve not noticed it.
Wonder if its cause im signed into the computer using my office365 account. Might be a extra layer of security because my documents is linked to the onedrive.
