Spartan is interesting. It is not available in the Technical preview yet but some of it is. YOu can enable the Spartan rendering engine in IE11. I have seen some tests with it and in its most basic unfinished early form it is out performing several top browsers and giving google chrome a run for its money. Thats something to say for Microsoft considering Spartan is in a very very early stage. I am really not a MS fanboy but I do feel it is great to see them finally trying to hit the mark. Competition has been stagnant last few years with Apple and Google running rampant with uninspiring upgrades to their innovations that is really just minor rehashes.
I have been using Windows 10 with Samba for quite a while now and it works great just to let everyone know. I have had zero issues with it and running SQL Express 2014 Advanced Edition with Message Server Service. It all has ran flawlessly.
Dear @Jesse, I succesfully installed w10 and its working great!!!
but I lost this:
do you know why?
thanks!!!
G.
Its still there you have to snap it in manually. Search for mmc then go to file/add remove snapin.
Thanks!!!
but there is no direct acces to mmc?
Thanks again
G
Just save that console. Go to file and save as⦠save it where you want it.
@gerlandog
rigth click on top of windows symbol (bottom Left of screen) > computer management > services and applications > SQL server configuration
Ive been looking at these⦠Good price point for full blown windows 8.1 pc. Also With the new windows 10 upgrade coming out this could be an amazing sambapos client! http://www.amazon.com/MeeGoPad-T01-Windows-Computer-Bluetooth/dp/B00S6LJVR8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425566765&sr=8-1&keywords=intel+compute+stick
Just for clarification⦠If you look into buying one of these type of devices the reason they are so cheap is because they come with windows 8.1 with bing set as the default search engine. Microsoft is offering this edition free to OEMS to be competitive with android. You can still change the default search engine to whatever you like. This is also the base windows 8.1 edition which means no joining to a active directory domain⦠And no bitlocker. It does allow you to link it to a Microsoft account⦠Still if your systems in a workgroup its not a bad device!!
Is there any replacement fo Windows Defender?
I dont know why it keeps telling me that Windows Defende cannot be runā¦
