Workperiod open for two days need to break it down for each day

Hi All,

I have recently been alerted that our tills where not closed for over two days. this is kinda a problem as our report will not allow us to see the two individual days. Is it possible to either break down the work period into them two separate days or is it possible for us to modify the reports so it goes by dates instead of work periods?

I am hoping someone has had this before but am unable to find a topic about it.

Any help would be great

you can use the search in reports, then narrow it down to the opening hours of each day

Actually that search filter in reports also goes by work period reports. So even if he tried to filter to each day it will still show 1 period of two days because that is the only work period it can find betwen those periods. Unless something has changed that im not aware of. He could creare a custom report which which gathers information filtered by date. But i personally can’t remember how to do it.

You won’t be able to use the built in reporting interface to display reports for less than a work period. That’s why its critical you start and end work periods each day or more based on your needs.

However I believe you could create a custom entity screen and use a Custom Report widget to display a report, and have some fields to set the date range. I haven’t done it myself but I believe doing this way you can get around the work period requirements and specific dates explicitly.

I even have a few videos demonstrating this floating around the forum.

Hey Kendash I have looked through your tickets and responses in forums but I wasnt able to make any use of them. Everything I have tried has not worked unfortunately. I know how important work periods are and this issue is rarely happens to people.

I have looked for the SQL alternative or an export option as this will only happen once and hopefully would never be needed again.

I know you are quite clued up on SQL so are you able to point me in the right direction for this issue please.

and thanks a lot.

Hi Jesse,

How can i find these demonstrations
