Hi

Samba5 is crashing with an ‘exception was thrown by target of invocation’ randomly when adding items to a ticket. Help would be appreciated.

Doubt it’s random, do you have any custom rules or changed default order added rules?

I have nothing new, the system was running fine until yesterday. As an example, a beer will be added to a ticket (this can be a new or open ticket), sometimes this will add fine, other times it will cause the above crash.

There shouldn’t be but, is there away to to make it show/not make the system crash because of it, someone else might have set something up and it’d be good to know what it was meant to show, this doesn’t happened on every new entry either though.

A system crash generally means it is a bad mistake and could cause bad results if allowed to continue so the crash protects it from corrupting data. You should look at the rules and actions and see if you can spot the issue.

If you cant find it you can PM me a backup of the database and I can look for you.

Im changing it to a V5 Question as it seems to be a configuartion event on your end. Please try and create a new datbase from fresh (just enter a different name in your database setup) If the problem is still there it can be recalsissifed as a Issue.

Looking at the error could you remove any rules which have “Order added to ticket” or “Ticket total changed” As thats where the problem is.

I’m not sure why it crashes but seems like it tries to display registration notification popup. Reactivating your V5 license will probably fix your issue.
