seeing each other and a connection string not working is two different things. Can you please try what I said and report back. Delete the sambasettings file then restart sambapos it should go to a default database which you can login and set your connect string again. Try with the IP instead of the computer name.

Did you have sambapos closed before you deleted that file?
i delete the sambapos settings, new string connection writed and the same error apear.
question its not better to delete the application and try to re-install again?

Ok for anyone following we resolved this issue. It was a pesky one but bottom line is his router was causing a network issue the terminal couldnt see the server. Once we rebooted router and fixed a few things its all good now. We did have to uninstall license logout, restart sambapos install it, Log in then restart sambapos again and activate then restart sambapos again but its working now.
I am locking this thread now as it is 2 years old and both things were resolved.
