You could use a Ticet Note, but it is “Ticket-level” which would not be ideal for Tickets that have more than 1 Void item or 1 Gift item, or both.

Better to use Order-level mechanism instead; this Tutorial uses GStatus State Value to store the Reason on a per-order basis …
