Hope you have made a backup before working on a life system.
Restore your backup in this case.

Otherwise we need more info, as your question is to vague.
Did you install the sample database?? Not a wise decision.

Which version are you working with?

No peter – Didnt take a backup:-(

Im using the latest version of Sambapo4.

As emre had put up in his post – I copied the sample database file in My document/Sambapo4… then went into Local settings - and in connection string – i types SambaCard.sdf

Ok, Hope you remember the Data String,Should look something Like this.

Peter — it was blank earlier…

Then - after reading emres post – i typed in SambaCard.sdf in that field… then restarted Sambapos – but then SambPos refused to start – giving error: " Cant connect to databse with current setting. You can check and modfiy the connection string shown below.
Error message: Unable to find the requested ,Net Framework Data provider. It may not be installed"

Are you working with Version V3? or V4

Version 4 – the latest

Ok and which database are you using, Windows SQL Server? or local database?

Dont know much on this – how can i check…

This is for a single restaurant and not multiple

Should be local database

Ok you can re-install SambaPOS4 again, this will not heart your database.
Once installing deselect sample data and database, just install SambaPOS

Ok, look for the directory ProgramData this is a hidden directory, go to SambaSettings and open with notepad, this should give you your database settings.

After that what to do Peter

If you can recover the SambaSettings, then you know your data-string.

when i reinstalled… it said that sample data and sql is already installed…

Yes, that’s why I say deselect during installation.
What happens if you start SambaPOS now

this is what the settings says

<?xml version="1.0"?><SettingsObject xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><MessagingServerPort>8080</MessagingServerPort><ConnectionString>SambaCard.sdf</ConnectionString><StartMessagingClient>false</StartMessagingClient><DefaultHtmlReportHeader>
