We are like maybe a week away from having integrated CC processing with great rates.
Thats great. Firstly I need to get a lot of things iron out with this. We have already purchased it, like it, just need to get some new important things ironed out.
The new restaurant just opened this week. Still making mods to the software daily.
When its all said and done, we will be replacing PCAMERICA or Restaurant Pro Express in the other 2 restaurants with Samba. I think I will be able to purchase two more site licences and back up and restore the DB and make tweaks and be ahead.
Are you working for the restaurant or are you reselling to them?
Yes I find typically it takes a month to get most things worked out. Itās usually always menu related. The big things crop up first two weeks.
I am an IT Specialist and my wife manages/runs 3 restaurants for the guy in our town. I do all their computer work, audio, networking, etc and this is outside of my regular job.
Restaurant Pro Express is dead and we installed it in 2 of his restuarants, and also in 2 other places in town. That software licences itself with hardware hashes and if a network card dies you have to get it re registered and you cant anymore, the company is basically dead. Heartland bought them and buried it.
So ā¦luckily found Samba THIS MONTH and have ran with it.
I need to get some things ironed out and working properly and I know 4 locations I will be installing it in the future.
The two places my wife works for, and two others in town that need to ditch that RPE crap.
IF so much as a hard drive fails or nic, or power supply fails in any of the machines running RPE, there is not coming back. I have ghost images of those pcs and it would not matter. It will come back up needing to be registered and cant.
Need to get everyone on Samba!!! LOL
Well I am a reseller for it and I resell hardware through partner tech so if you ever need help give me a holler. I will also be reselling the cc integration in the next week or so.
When I say next week or so I mean Iāll be signing 5 or so restaurants up for early adoption before we roll it out in Mass.
I wouldnāt want to undermine your area if you are a reseller is why I asked but I thought you should know about the cc integration.
Thatās the plan hah.

I resell licenses, hardware, cc integration, etc. So if you need anything that you canāt get directly then let me know. Did you buy your licenses direct or though a reseller?

UPDATE
While I would like to figure out what is wrong and why its not working, she tells me that all that will not be needed anyways.
All she wants to be able to do is take a dollar amount and charge it like a sale. I think they have their own cards or something and will take the money and run it through a machine, like a loaded card or something.
So what this means to me is that I just need a Gift Card button on the menu somewhere like a sale item and once its clicked have it bring back the number pad to enter a price and make the sale.
I need this to show up on the reports as a GC sale somewhere and will need help with that.
I run a menu with no number pad. We have not needed it so far and it gets in the way.
So it already has that and itās called voucher. Just rename that to gift card
